CSA 2017 second day impression

"Judaism From a different perspective". That is my strongest impression from today. We started with a tour in the Jutish district were I first come across with the Jutish hungary identity question and the three majore answers to it. Further on the day we mate three inspiring ladies Judit Kinszki, Olga Solyom and Vera Szekeres centropa interviewees how told us abut their expireance withe difrent audiences and more important their perspective about how and way we should preserve the Jutish Hungarian heritage.

Second day in Budapest- The Jewish Disrrict

Today we toured the Jewish district  with a very good guide.He was both professional and sensitive. Being at a playground where the marketplace was with no sign or anything else to remember.We discussed if there is a "right" way to remember.

Also the visit at the big synagogue was enlightning.An organ at a synagogue! Made me wonder about the different kinds of ways to be a community,what is acceptable or not...How those dicisions influence people,whether they bring them together or drive them away...

2nd day of CSA2017

This is the second time I am attending Centropa 's seminar. Today I was mesmerised by the walking tour in the Jewish district. I was really touched by Karl '  s Lutz Memorial and all the efforts he made , in order to save the Jews from Hungary.  I was also impressed by the tree of sadness.The leaves of this tree  have  the names of Holocaust victims. The Dohany Synagogue was also impressive.

Meeting #CSA2017 Centropa

Excited and eager to learn new ways to motivate students using the centropa website. Finally, I made it to Budapest by train, which was quite an experience. Even though, I'm exhausted, my interest and curiosity keeps me attentive. I love the atmosphere created where there are no borders and we all are part of a bigger group.
