Professional development seminar in Thessaloniki, Greece

We extend a warm invitation to teachers from European Jewish schools and Israel to participate in our upcoming 3-day seminar in Thessaloniki, Greece, scheduled from May 26th to 28th. This seminar will bring together up to 30 educators from up to 15 countries to delve into Centropa materials, collaborate on integrating 20th-century Jewish history and personal narratives into their classrooms, and foster valuable partnerships for the future.

Program highlights include:

  • Exploring the rich history of Sephardic Jews and Jewish life in Thessaloniki
  • Diving into Centropa's vast collection of Jewish family stories, photographs, short films, and podcasts, with a special focus on Greece and Sephardic Jewry
  • Sharing and learning innovative, technology-based teaching methodologies
  • Connecting with fellow Jewish educators to develop lesson plans and cross-border projects
