I used to spend time rather by myself. There were no trips together, no outings downtown to see something, no Sunday excursions. We had dinners at my grandparents’ on Sundays, and that killed the possibilities. I, for example, poorly know Cracow, because my parents never went with me anywhere, never showed me anything. We may have gone to a museum once. Once we went on a trip ‘into the unknown’ which turned out to be an excursion to Oswiecim [town ca. 50 km west of Cracow. During WWII the Auschwitz camp was located there].
