My mother’s parents lived in a small wooden house in a Jewish neighborhood in the central part of Tomashpol. My grandfather’s shop was in the biggest room in the house. It had the front door entrance. The living quarters consisted of three rooms and a kitchen with a back door entrance. There was a woodshed and a toilet in the backyard. There were 3 daughters and two sons in the family.
