When there was a wedding in Bursa, the women of Bursa would go to Istanbul to have an outfit sewn.  All the ladies would seek  a tailor that was popular in those days at the same time, and the tailor would sew the same outfit for all of them, and all of them would be identical during the wedding.  They would not learn a lesson from this and continue the same procedure in the next wedding.  When the smell of coffee started to permeate from one of the gardens in the afternoon, it was the sign of the women of the neighborhood starting to congregate.  The biggest pastime during those days was to gather together to prepare the homemade pasta, to prepare tomato sauce or talk about the food that was going to be cooked for Friday.  All this important business was embellished by coffee breaks.
