Father and mother were very religious, father went to the synagogue on Saturdays and holidays. At home we celebrated Jewish holidays and everything was done per Jewish customs. When I was small, in pre-school age, father hired a rebbe, a teacher, for me. Rebbe used to come to our place and teach me Hebrew, Yiddish, how to read, write and so on. This continued for one year.
