Centropa in Ukraine: 2001-2024
Between 2001 and 2007 our oral history team, led by Professor Leonid Finberg and coordinated by Marina Karelstein, interviewed 284 Holocaust survivors still living in eight Ukrainian cities, digitized 2,944 of their old family photos, and transcribed nearly 5,000 pages of stories.
This archive has now been acquired by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and Centropa has been licensed to use these pictures and stories in our films, thematic websites, podcasts and in our educational programs.
